The company attributes this growth to its industrial activity, milk and raw material purchases, direct employment, service contracting, innovation, and its fiscal contribution.

Industrial investment drives the development of rural Spain

Industrial activity remains one of the main drivers of Lactalis’ business in Spain. During 2025, the company allocated 28.1 million euros to industrial investments, of which 71.9% was executed in municipalities with fewer than 25,000 inhabitants.

The company has also approved a new investment plan of 200 million euros for the period 2026-2030, aiming to strengthen its industrial competitiveness, accelerate digital transformation, boost innovation, and advance the energy transition.

Lactalis’ presence in eight industrial centers across the national territory maintains a significant tractor effect on employment and economic activity in numerous rural areas.

More than 1,400 farms are part of an increasingly sustainable dairy chain

The relationship with the primary sector continues to be one of the company’s pillars. In 2025, Lactalis collected 963 million liters of milk from 1,405 farms in 13 autonomous communities, consolidating itself as the main dairy operator in Spain.

Additionally, 98.9% of the cow’s milk collected had Animal Welfare certification, an indicator that reflects the work developed together with farmers to move towards more sustainable and efficient farms.

The company also maintains collaboration with the CSIC to promote the decarbonization of the livestock sector. After auditing more than 1,000 farms and developing a pilot project in 16 farms, both parties have identified 27 measures aimed at reducing emissions and optimizing resources.
