A 59-year-old man has been arrested by the National Police in Marbella following an alleged domestic violence incident in which the woman has died, police sources have confirmed.

The crime occurred this Monday on Castilla Street, in the population center of San Pedro Alcántara, and the alert was received at 16:15 hours.
Police sources have confirmed the arrest of the alleged perpetrator and have specified that although the investigation remains open, the woman died in an alleged “episode of domestic violence“.
The murder of this woman occurred a few days after the confirmation of the sexist crime of another woman in Benahavís (Málaga) on July 21, which raised to 36 the number of women killed by their partners and ex-partners so far this year, the worst figure since 2019.
