The ‘Koldo plot’ tried to buy a one million euro apartment for Santos Cerdán in Madrid. The UCO maintains that the former number 2 of the PSOE and right-hand man of Pedro Sánchez in the party had “total availability” of the funds of Servinabar, the company he shared with businessman Antxon Alonso, and that this is demonstrated by the attempt to buy an apartment worth 985,000 euros for Cerdán in Madrid.

A chapter that, by the way, earned a phrase from Antxon, always very critical of the Cerdáns’ extravagances with the money that was accumulating in Servinabar, to his wife, Karmele: “On top of that, now they want a huge apartment,” he wrote to her on WhatsApp. “500 euros [spent] any day,” he also tells her. “And on top of that, they are not discreet at all […] They should be ashamed.”
“They have been looking at one for 950 [950,000 euros]. Renovation work 350 [350,000],” Antxon and his wife comment among themselves.
The apartment in question cost exactly 985,000 euros, and the UCO reconstructs the attempt, giving it great importance as it understands that it explains how the PSOE politician, who has declared that the private contract by which he took control of 45% of Servinabar never came into effect, actually used the company’s funds for his private use.
The property is located on Santa Cruz de Marcenado Street, 2, in Madrid, very close to Gran Vía, and the attempt was, explains the UCO, “a few months after” Cerdán’s arrival at the PSOE’s Organization Secretariat, replacing the ousted Ábalos.
Cerdán and his wife did not set their sights on just any property. The apartment is part of an architecturally valuable building in the center of Madrid, designed by architects Higueras and Miró, adorned with striking vines and built between 1967 and 1975 as a Military Housing Cooperative, later becoming private property over the years. It is an emblematic work of Spanish brutalism, also known as the Princesa Building.

The UCO also explains that Cerdán and his wife – Francisca, whom Antxon referred to in conversation with his wife as “Paqui, known by everyone at El Corte Inglés” – visited the apartment on September 6, 2021, with the intention of buying it.
The agents even mention the “liking” Paqui Muñoz showed for the property, and the “possibility of making potential renovations to it”. Thus, the seller left handwritten notes about appointments with Antxon Alonso on October 7 and November 4, the latter already to address the “earnest money” contract.
On September 20 of that year, Cerdán himself and Antxon went to the real estate agency and offered 900,000 euros, 50,000 below the requested amount, and to pay a 10% deposit immediately, but the offer was rejected by the apartment owner.
Thus, on September 30 another visit took place, attended by Antxon in the capacity, as he said, of “partner or friend” of Cerdán, and shortly after, from an account controlled by Alonso, 9,000 euros were transferred to another of the real estate agency. However, the deal fell through because there was no agreement on the “delivery times,” the seller wrote, and presumably also on the final amount.
