In a statement released by the Iranian agencies Fars and Tasnim, linked to the Revolutionary Guard, a spokesperson for this elite force assured that this “terrorist aggression” will be “punished”.
The message indicates that the attack was carried out with drones and that it left dead and injured, without specifying the numbers.
The island of Larak is located near the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic place for global oil transit and a scene of dispute between Iran and the United States since the beginning of the war.
In another subsequent statement, a spokesperson for the Revolutionary Guard called the attack a “strategic and fatal error”.

Qatari television Al Jazeera had previously reported information from a U.S. Army officer who stated that Washington’s target was two Iranian rocket launchers stationed on the island.
Today’s attack is the first known since late July, when the media reported bombings against dozens of military targets of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
After the collapse of peace talks and after the ceasefire and the 60-day deadline to try to achieve a negotiated resolution to the conflict expired, Washington announced a new and severe package of sanctions against Tehran, indicating that its Administration would mainly opt for economic pressure.
However, U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth later clarified that the Pentagon did not rule out continuing to carry out “kinetic attacks” if necessary.
