The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Friday that he will immediately veto access to the White House for the networks CNN and MSNOW, as well as the digital newspaper Politico, which he accused of spreading “fake news”, threatening to extend the measure to other media outlets.
“The media should not be able to constantly write or spread fiction and lies when covering the President of the United States,” Trump wrote on his social network Truth Social.

The announcement marks a new escalation in the president’s offensive against the press, after at the beginning of his term he restricted the access of the Associated Press (AP) agency to some events at the White House.
