The Court of First Instance and Instruction of Toro (Zamora) has released this Tuesday afternoon on conditional release the parents of the three-month-old baby who died in the early hours of Sunday at their home. Both are under investigation as alleged perpetrators of a crime of reckless homicide, according to sources from the Zamora Civil Guard.

Although the investigating judge has ordered their release, she has imposed as precautionary measures the obligation to appear weekly at the judicial offices, the withdrawal of the passport, and the prohibition to leave the national territory.
A relative was the one who alerted the health services at noon on Sunday, reporting that the death had occurred during the night from Saturday to Sunday at the family home. The parents were detained by order of the Toro court, which has taken charge of the investigation and has decreed the secrecy of the proceedings.

The autopsy on the minor was performed on Monday at the Zamora Institute of Legal Medicine. After receiving the first preliminary report, the judge took testimony from the parents this Tuesday before agreeing to their provisional release.
The death notification took place on Sunday at 12:45 p.m., when the health workers arrived at the home. A relative was there in charge of the baby, who reported that the girl had died during the night from unknown causes. Since it was not a natural death, the judicial commission was activated, which, together with agents from the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard, began investigations to clarify the circumstances of the event.
