The Government of Ceuta has decided this Monday to postpone the start of activities in two of the three municipal nursery schools, attended by children from 0 to 3 years old, due to the situation that has been unfolding since thousands of people entered at the end of July from Morocco. The Education Minister of the Government of Ceuta, Pilar Orozco, states that it is due to “organizational” and “administrative” reasons.

The nursery schools Nuestra Señora de África and Juan Carlos I will not start their teaching activities with students at least until next September 28. However, the La Pecera school will open its doors on September 8, just like the charter schools, government sources from Ceuta explain.
In the case of the Nuestra Señora de África Nursery School, preparations for its opening are being finalized, including cleaning, furniture placement, and the final details of getting it operational.
Meanwhile, the Juan Carlos I Nursery School is awaiting the completion of the final administrative procedures related to the service award.
The Ministry is working so that both centers can open their doors with all guarantees of safety, quality, and normality, thanking families for their understanding and cooperation.
This decision clashes with that taken by the Ministry of Education in the case of educational centers for children aged three and over, which will start the school year on September 8.
