Four Moroccan migrants, who were involved in the mass entry into the city on July 30, have been expelled to Morocco by court order after being detained in the city for assaulting three Civil Guard officers who requested their identification.
The events occurred this past Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. near the Sarchal neighborhood when the four accused were in the area along with another group of migrants and were carrying sharp objects and knives with which they had threatened several neighborhood residents.
The Civil Guard went to the area to locate them following citizens’ reports, proceeding to arrest four of them after a chase during which they lunged at three of the officers, causing them minor injuries, according to judicial sources reported to Efe.
A court in Ceuta has ordered their expulsion from Spain after they acknowledged their involvement in the events and accepted a two-year prison sentence each for a crime of assault, which has been replaced by five years of expulsion from Spain.

ANOTHER DEATH AT SEA
The migratory pressure also left a new fatal victim this past weekend. The Civil Guard located late Saturday the body of a young Sub-Saharan in waters near Punta Almina, in the northern bay of Ceuta, after a military ship alerted the presence of a body in the sea.
The GEAS recovered the body, which was only wearing a wetsuit and had been dead for a short time. Due to the location where it was found, far from the border, investigators consider that he might have tried to reach Ceuta swimming from Morocco or that he had jumped into the water from a boat without managing to reach land. The body was taken to the Maritime Service base for an autopsy.
